Carissa first foray into yoga was during her high school days as a way of keeping fit. She witnessed the transformational power of yoga during university as it established greater strength, flexibility and calmness in her life. Intrigued by what she initially deemed as a workout that helped to restore her mind-body balance, she took up teacher training. She continued to broaden her perspective with aerial yoga training. Her classes combine movement, breath and alignment for a safe and mindful practice. By encouraging students to draw the awareness inwards beyond physical asanas, she hopes students will develop a mind-body connection, and leave the class recharged and with greater clarity.
