Type of yoga classes we offer

Aerial Yoga

Aerial Yoga introduces students to the Aerial Yoga hammocks while we explore a repertoire of stretches, inversions and/or transitions. Hale Yoga is the only yoga studio in Singapore that works with 2 types of fabrics – parachute trapeze and stretchy silk. Different fabrics caters to different type of poses.

 

Aerial yoga benefits include and not limited to:

– Tone muscles to increase strength and regenerate joints

– Combat Stress and increase “happy” hormones

– Improves flexibility

– Heals back problem

– Improve balance

– Inversion without compressing spine

AERIAL STRETCH

Fabric type: Parachute trapeze
Difficulty & intensity level: 2 to 3/10
Suitability: Beginners friendly

Class focus: Aerial high-ground and low-ground stretch based poses with minimal inversion

AERIAL SILK STRETCH

Fabric type: Stretchy Silk

Difficulty & intensity level: 3 to 4/10

Suitability: Beginners friendly

 

Class focus: Aerial high-ground stretch based poses and off-ground stretches with minimal inversion.

AERIAL VINYASA

Fabric type: Parachute trapeze

Difficulty & intensity level: 3 to 8/10

Suitability: Multi-level, Beginners welcome

 

Class focus: Basic and intermediate aerial climbs, aerial flow(transitions) and inversions.

AERIAL SILK HATHA

Fabric type: Stretchy Silk

Difficulty & intensity level: 3 to 5/10

Suitability: Multi-level, Beginners Welcome

 

Class focus:

Basic and intermediate climbs, aerial flow(transitions) and inversions

AERIAL SILK HATHA 2

Fabric type: Stretchy Silk

Difficulty & intensity level: 5 to 8/10

Suitability: Intermediate and above**

 

**For those who are new to Aerial Yoga/hammock or one that is new to our studio, we will recommend you do a minimum of 15 Aerial Vinyasa or 15 Aerial Silk Hatha classes. For Safety, you should find Aerial Silk Hatha manageable before attempting Aerial Silk Hatha 2.

AERIAL SILK HATHA 3

Fabric type: Stretchy Silk

Difficulty & intensity level: 8 to 10/10

Suitability: Advance**

 

**This is not suitable for those who are new to Aerial Yoga or one that is new to our studio. We will recommend you do a minimum of 1 year of Aerial Silk Hatha 2 classes. For Safety, you should find Aerial Silk Hatha 2 manageable before attempting Aerial Silk Hatha 3.

Class focus:

Includes 5 intermediate poses or transitions or more

Advance or complicated poses

High-ground inversions

Transition that instil fear (Flips and drops)

One or all of the above

GENTLE FLOW

Difficulty & intensity level: 1 to 3/10

Suitability: Beginners friendly

Focus: Simple flow, basic yoga poses

Benefits: Increase stability of joints, flexibility and strength

 

Gentle flow is a non vinyasa-based class that focuses on static postures and longer holds that flows in each asana. With a focus on developing mindful awareness in every asana, as well as in the breath. Suitable for beginners.

HATHA

Difficulty & intensity level: 1 to 5/10

Suitability: Multi-level & Beginners friendly

Focus: Basic yoga poses and modifications/variations of yoga poses

Benefits: Increase stability of joints, flexibility and strength

 

Hatha is perfect for newcomers to yoga, introducing to them the basics of breath and alignment in a safe and supported environment. These classes allow beginner students to build a solid foundation from which they can deepen and explore the practice. Suitable for first-timer.

VINYASA FLOW

Difficulty & intensity level: 5 to 8/10

Suitability: Multi-level

Focus: Energising flow and yoga peak poses

Benefits: Increase endurance, stability of joints, flexibility and strength

 

Vinyasa Flow is a dynamic and challenging flow practice. The class is structured to build strength and foundation while you explore a repertoire of poses and transitions. Be prepared to flow, play, and experiment with your practice and you will walk away feeling strong, refreshed and energized. Suitable for all levels.

CORE

Difficulty & intensity level: 5 to 8/10

Suitability: Multi-level

Focus: Core-based flow and centric core exercises

Benefits: Tightened abdominal structures involved in movement, stabilising spinal movement

 

Core is a core-based flow practice. The class is structured to build your core strength while you explore a repertoire of poses and transitions. Be prepared to flow, play, and experiment with your practice and you will walk away feeling strong, refreshed and energized. Suitable for all levels.

WHEEL VINYASA

Difficulty & intensity level: 5 to 9/10

Suitability: Multi-level

Focus: Flow with wheel and static wheel poses

Benefits: Training balance and/or increasing back flexibility

 

Designed specifically to open up tight backs and shoulders in back bends postures. Assist in enhancing your flexibility as well as inversion and balancing poses with the use of a yoga wheel. Suitable for all levels.

YIN YANG

Difficulty & intensity level: 1 to 5/10

Suitability: Multi-level & Beginners friendly

Benefits: Increase stability of joints, to release fascia and improves joints mobility

 

Yin Yang flow with active asanas to work your muscles and ease into the deep and peaceful yin poses after. Yin consists of a series of long-held passive floor poses that aims to release fascia and improves joints flexibility. Yang refers to the external, dynamics, moving and active form of yoga that generates heat in our body. Yin Yang is the combination of both, reaping both the benefits of Yin and Yang.
