Starting with dance at the early age of 7, it has led Paris to pursue her Diploma in Dance at LASALLE College of the Arts Singapore at the age of 20. After having suffered an unforeseen injury during her second year at LASALLE, Paris became convinced to look for movement practices that would aid in the rehabilitation of her left ankle due to the torn ligament. Yoga became that practice. It resonated with her both as a student and practitioner. Yoga allowed Paris the find joy in movement again, allowing her to become both stronger and flexible as a result of her daily practice.
Paris furthered her training in Aerial Yoga as she was drawn to the grace and weightlessness of being suspended. This brought back memories of what it was like to be a dancer again in the air moving through various sequence.
To Paris, her biggest reward from yoga is when she is teaching. Helping her students achieve their goals through consistent progression is her mission as a teacher and fellow yogi.
Naturally introverted at heart, it wouldn’t take long for her to open up as Paris enjoys being in the company of others. She is easy going and always bouncing from place to place.
Outside the studio, the library is where Paris finds her inspiration and resources that she can infuse into her practice. You can catch Paris spending time catching up with friends over a cup of coffee, taking a stroll around the garden or simply spending her rest days chilling at home allowing herself to recharge for the days to come.
