The first time Stephanie’s father heard she was learning pole-dancing back in 2012, he exclaimed “Why can’t you learn something normal like yoga?!” To which she scoffed and replied “Yoga is too boring.” In 2014, her friend dragged a very reluctant Stephanie for her first yoga class which was hot yoga. Stephanie left the class feeling refreshed, relaxed and loved how gorgeous her complexion was from all the sweating. From then on, she begun exploring other yoga styles, particularly favouring Hatha and Iyengar classes. Stephanie soon found that yoga helped her to feel less anxious (due to the stress at her day job), her body got stronger, more flexible and less prone to injuries.
In 2017, she took the leap to take yoga teacher training with the intention to learn more about yoga, discover more about herself and to tick it off her bucket list. Stephanie teaches yoga with the intention to help individuals like herself who faced stress during their jobs or at any point in their lives by focusing on building confidence and awareness of one’s body. Alignment according to each individual’s body is also a key focus of her teaching approach.
